Review: Pretty Venom by Ella Fields

A realistically heartbreaking enemies to lovers story that will reel you in and keep you reeling.

Pretty Venom by Ella Fields is, without a doubt, one of the best stories of 2018. It is realistic. It is painfully heartbreaking. It is anxiety-inducing and thrilling. It is the perfect mixture of feelings, of lust, of experience and life.

First of all, there were a few things in here that I did not see coming (from the snippets I’ve seen of both Callum and Renee in previous stories) that were a great surprise. I knew their emotions were strong, even from the little pieces Ella revealed of them in her other books, and I was dying to see what made them end up where they presently are.

Both Callum and Renee are perfectly amazing together. They really complement each other from their upbringing and background, their spontaneity, their drive and ambition, and their strength. They match each other to the T, nobody else can compare and as I reader, I felt that in every single scene.

Ella, as you know, loves to break us. She does so tremendously in this one. I felt massive amounts of anger at both Callum and Renee for some of the choices they made, the doubts that entered their thoughts and the words that were spoken. But that feeling, the rollercoaster of emotions she takes us on is how we know this is an absolutely excellent book.

I don’t want to give away the plot so a lot of the info will be missing from this review. Just know that if you love to be thrilled, to feel every single emotion known to man (and maybe some that aren’t), this book is definitely a must read.

Ella Fields may be new to the scene but her talent, its indescribable. How else can she release such beautiful stories?

Hands down one of my favorite books of 2018...
